Bought a used vita to mod, but it doesn't have ux0 on it. Don't know if the previous owner messed that up or what, but is there a way to get it back? Can still use yamt to use sd2vita as ux0 but doesn't work since I don't have ux0 file at all.

1000, and memory card is in but is an unmarked off brand so might be a bad card. Ordered new one already. Can't play game card with this one anyway, but not sure if that's to do with ux0 missing or the card.

OSTENT 8GB Memory Card Stick Storage for Sony PS Vita PSV1000/2000 on Amazon looks like it. I ordered a Sony brand one so guess I'll see if that fixes things on Wednesday

Yea, this whole vita seems weird to me. Guessing the previous owner messed up pretty good trying to mod it, but was too good of a deal to pass on. Hopefully this memory card is dead or something easy like that. I've got henkaku and vita deploy on it, just need to figure out the missing ux0 problem.

I found these cards on sale on aliexpress (OSTENT Official Store).
On the buyers photos the cards are with full Sony branding.
Cards received by some buyers were not formatted and where linked to other accounts.
So these could very well be official memory cards. A mix of refurb, "waste" production (rejects) and (maybe) new old stock.
