r1235 :)

Main changes:
* Fixed nintendont detection v2.263+
Nintendont detection shouldn't break anymore, but just in case I replaced the error prompt with a warning. You can still launch it ;)
* Added WiiU Pro controller over Bluetooth
* Added PS3 controller over USB
* more nintendont changes. See full log on blog or googlecode.

Quick troubleshooting question: Whenever I start Super Smash Bros. Brawl using the "Full" emuNAND setting it hangs at the brawl loading screen on first boot. I have extracted my save to the emuNAND using USB Loader GX. The same occurs when I try to launch my custon Project M 3.5 Netplay custom ISO. Anyone else running into this issue? I have a 1 TB hitachi external HD.

Also, Thanks for adding NEEK2O to the to-do list in the development status post cyan!

Thanx a lot Cyan.
now with your changes usbgx don't overwrite nintendont settings
so we can use both loader without doing everytime the config.

Thanks again !

Cyan the new update works great with the New Nintendont, though I noticed what seems to be a bug, running on a regular Wii and a regular 4:3 TV, if you click on the (Wii U widescreen) option under (Features) the screen gets stretched and there's noway to reset it back unless you exit USB Loader and re-enter, also where to find the option for deleting the "ninconfig" file? I wanna set it to always delete the file after finished, thanks!

Hello Cyan, thanks for the update! Nintendont is now working fine.
I have a question: Is it possible to save to the emunand from a wiiware game installed on real nand? I've tried everything but I can't make it work, the wiiware game keeps saving on the real nand. My regular wii backups and the vc/emunand channels all save to the emunand without any issues. Also, when I enter the game settings for a game (or channel) installed in the real nand there is no nand save emulation option. Is it supposed to be this way?

On the general settings I have nand emulation set to full and nand saves set to partial, however this doesn't seem to affect any of the channels from the real nand.

I'm just curious about something (and apologise if this has already been asked), how do you stop the loader going back to either Wii Menu or HBC when loading a Wii Game? as it keep happening when i try to do this.

As I'm typing this, I'm currently deleting and reinstalling all my IOSes & cIOSes to see if that fixes the problem... if not, is there something else i could possibly try instead?

I will need more information for that issue.
like a dump or screenshot of your stack dump screen to debug it.
Your settings, hardware (HDD), gamecube settings, etc.
it works fine without Wupc connected?

Cyan the new update works great with the New Nintendont, though I noticed what seems to be a bug, running on a regular Wii and a regular 4:3 TV, if you click on the (Wii U widescreen) option under (Features) the screen gets stretched and there's noway to reset it back unless you exit USB Loader and re-enter, also where to find the option for deleting the "ninconfig" file? it's for WiiU option, don't click on it if you are on Wii!
I really need to pamper users and think of all noobs who will try all possible menu and settings combinations.
I spend lot of time to write alerts and warnings and check and verification that noob don't use conflicting issues...
When I tested it on Wii, it had no effect so I thought "no need to add a hardware verification". I guess it doesn't work if you are on 16:9, but on 4:3 is does.
I'll add a WiiU check to hide the option on Wii.

Last time I checked, Nintendont options were in Settings > loader settings > Gamecube > Nintendont.
And they never changed their place, it's still there.
The newly added setting is called "Configs file" and has text such as "Delete / Create / No Change" on it. I hope it's enough information to find it.

Is it possible to save to the emunand from a wiiware game installed on real nand?
Yes, EmuNAND Save option set to Partial should have work. Though, I'm not sure of the result, as it redirect /title/ path only, and Wiiware are also stored on that path. I will have to try it, and will rework that menus/options to be more friendly when I'll add neek2o support.
Also, when I enter the game settings for a game (or channel) installed in the real nand there is no nand save emulation option. Is it supposed to be this way?
no, it's not normal, I will have to verify this too.

banner view not working!
"not working" is not a proper definition of what happens.
I noticed an issue when I tested it on WiiU + 1 game only + official gamecube banner : the preview wasn't visible, but clicking on it displayed the full banner animation correctly.
Using cache+custom banner fixed that issue.
I don't know if it's an issue caused by my changes, maybe the loader is starting missing memories!
I hope it didn't reach its limit, because I'm not good with memory management.

Ds3 is awkward, is there a map?
DS3 is awkward on your mod!
it uses Classic Controller mapping
a = O (the button on the right left on the controller, it's Always A in all nintendo controller (except Gamecube, but not talking about that one))
b = X (the button on the bottom is always B) etc.
y = []
x = /\

Home = PS (The button used to open the "Home" menu on PS3)
+ = Start (the button to the right of Home!)
- = Select (the button to the left of Home!)

Like I told you, USBLoaderGX is NOT nintendont, mapping it like a gamecube controller is weird to me. It's mapped to match other controllers used by the loader, not by other loaders.

Loader exiting when you launch a game is usually a cIOS issue, or HDD not recognized to the game can't be opened and the console resets.

ok when i test your new rev "ALL" the banner preview is missing, I cannot click on any banner, went back to my mod and all worked fine again,
so it might be memory shortage if you didn't touch this part

You couldn't click on the (invisible) preview ?
I could do it.

In fact, the preview was visible on first launch of the loader.
After viewer a banner, it became invisible.
so, fine -> display -> cancel -> invisible.
probably a memory issue, but I don't know how to fix that nor how to debug it.

in your "full mod", it works fine?
so it's only things I added (more menus compatible with Wupc, more check for nintendont..)
From your "full mod", the only difference I have is with PS3 controller, it doesn't use a timer to read pressed button, instead if use Press/Up/Held state. I don't think it's what create the issue.

I will have to revert added features back one by one to find the issue.

Well... if it helps at all, i get this error in CFG Loader MOD v70r78:
Code:
ERROR: ntfs getf: -31
NTFS compression not supported!
    ERROR: get_frag_list: -31
Is there anyway to fix this, so it works properly (with USB Loader GX).

by the way... my external HDD is a TOSHIBA 2.5" Canvio Basics

Does it work with another HDD?
or another partition on your HDD?

NTFS compression is an option you can enable/disable in windows.
I never used it, so I didn't even know it affected the partition format.
If it affects game's file, it's probably the cause of the crash.

I guess it's used to shorten long repetitive data (a big part of a file is full of 0x00 is replaced with a "repeat 0x00 n times" instead)

My FAT32 partition on the drive works with NGC games through Nintendont.

I'll try the NTFS "Anti-Compression" method and see what happens from there

Edit: Disabling NTFS compression worked. Thanks Cyan. :)

the library is on svn too (in /branches/libs/libwupc/)
you need to make and make install (it will copy to libogc, not to portlib)

I can change it to load all files from the main trunk instead of additional libs to libogc.

I'll ask here, but not sure I'll get an answer as most developers left wii scene.
Is there a way to know and map the used Mem1 and Mem2 addresses?
I would like to know how much RAM is used by the loader and how much free is left.

I guess I was just lucky (or should I say unlucky) enough to encounter this issue, I'm sorry for bothering you but I figured I'd report it, perhaps you can add a message next to it that says (Wii U only) or (only for widescreen TVs) so that noobs will know not to click it.

As for Nintendont settings I figured they would be there but I didn't find it the first time, I must of missed it, thanks for the info and for the update!
