I find it fascinating that the GX loader can just download covers itself!
I chose flat covers cause I was afraid it could take to my space on my Wii. But now I realize they are on the SD card.^^

Huge, I don't know, it's a point of view.
Doesn't display right : it's not normal
The FullCovers are displayed only on the Game info window (press 2 when cursor is over a game), to map the 3D boxart that you can rotate.
If it's not displayed right, it could be a problem with the picture itself.

Display as a coverflow mode: not currently available.
Possible: yes, all is possible by coding it.
Will be present in the future: I don't know, I'm not seeing the future yet :(
I don't think I'll add it myself, I don't know enough C/C++ for the moment. I'm still learning and already have a lot to do with the current bug/suggestions/bug I'm adding myself  .

Hi, is there any possibility for gx to have a coverflow mode?

Hmm, are we talking about something like a merge with WiiFlow or something? That would be interesting to say the least. I didn't know about the game info window. I guess if that already has some 3D box code in it that would be a start at least.

nothing like a merge.
It could be another layout (list/wall/carousel/channels/flow)
but don't keep your hope I won't add it, even if the 3D boxart is a start, I have other things to do and I'm very slow at coding (and have another project I need to update too).

Totally random question: When you press 2 to view the game info and cover, I've noticed that the ones I don't have covers for are able to be manipulated/rotated. How come I can't do it with the ones I have (3d) covers for? Is a different cover type necessary?

Also, now that the banners are there is there any way to view the disc art WITHOUT switching to them in the settings? (A certain button or anything like that.)

Edit: I just realized Cyan may have already answered my question. So is there any reason to have Full HQ AND 3d?

Your first question has received an excellent answer by another poster over a year ago:

The 3D covers are on the "game details" view. (press 1, or on the game disc view, click on Game details). then click on the 3D box to zoom/rotate.
You need the "FULL HQ/LQ cover" first, download them by clicking on the cover box (on the list view), or press 2.

I'm also interested in your second question, as I don't know the answer.

Edit: Did not realize you already found his answer. I apologize for that.

No problem. I tried to do a search within the forum but it popped up with some error. Googled and found relatively simply.

... put them in the same folder and renaming automatically with prompt?
But USB Loader GX only can see "game.iso" name, I can't put a different name, thereof it can only can see one disc per folder (disc1 OR disc2).
Furthermore Devolution is extremely picky about name changes, or path changes  (it will prompt original disc verification again)

That's not true, I changed the path and name of many games (at format used for DM) to be visible in GX, and did not asked for verification again.
The bad thing is that I can not use the sample loader, unless of course, revert the path like was before.

Is there any way to Start this up as soon as you turn on the wii? I want to make it easy for my son to use the wii.

I tried installing the Boot.dol with priiloader under load/install. It says it installed fine, but when I go to launch 'installed file' the wii freezes.
Other loaders I have got to work just fine. Maybe Im using the wrong file?

EDIT:

Sorry, nevermind.. I just used the forwarder dol and it works fine now.

The Wiki Tutorial is not working right now. All the pages I was trying to look at said page not found. Is there somewhere else I can find some help topics? Want to customize a bit.

tit's not "not working, it's just "not written yet 'cause it takes time and no one else is doing it".
It's a project to update and complete it. we just can't tell when it will be complete :(

For Devolution:

I didn't try, so it's either:
1- put the second disc in the same folder (whatever the filename, it doesn't matter, Devolution always launch disc1 anyway).
2- put the second disc in the /games/ folder (/games/filename_for_disc2.iso)

Devolution is looking automatically for ALL .iso files to find the second disc of the currently played game.

If you launch Disc2, it's searching for Disc1 to launch it instead, so it doesn't cause any problem to keep disc1 game.iso and rename disc2 (game2.iso for example).

I will try to make a proper disc2 detection later.

You can move/copy (even alter) the ISO without re-verification process as long as :
It's on the same Wii
The ISO is on the same device as before
The gameID in the ISO is not changed. (only the first ISO sectors are compared to the verification file to decide if it's already validated or not).

If not, it need a full 1:1 copy to validate again.
