USB Loader GX r658 - Click HERE to download

Changes (copied from Google project page):
  • No official update notes at time of writing. Update by Giantpune. Files changed reference the title browser. Checked and names are now showing correctly.

@TJ

Ammended the database.txt again. After Giantpune fixed the names in r658 noticed that the ones I'd entered had a - prefix. It was because I was using the 4 digit codes and not 3 digit. Have changed them to now read:

Code:
###USB Loaders and Forwarders###
FLO-Cover Floader Forwarder
UCX-Configurable USB Loader Forwarder
UNE-USB Loader GX Forwarder

Names now show up correctly for the above.

I've been having a problem getting wiitdb.zip to work right. At one point it worked perfectly for me and now I dont know why it wont work.

On one of my wii's when the info box pops up it just shows the game cover and thats it. No info at all.
On my other wii it will show the game cover and some of the info. Everything but the game descriptions. This is for all games too by the way.

My question is, if I delete the wiitdb.zip and then do 'update all' will wiitdb.zip download for me and will GX put it in the right spot that its supposed to be?

Access the homebrew menu through GX. Then click the same icon again to load the title menu. The database.txt is a generic list of codes and associated name so that they show up in that menu. Previously, they would just show up as code and named unknown. Now, you actually know what you're launching.

wiitdb.zip is no longer generated by the loader. What you have to do is follow the small print instructions at the bottom of the game information screen. This generates a file with an URL. Open it on your PC and go to the URL. This will download your own personal wiitdb.zip file. Put this on your card and try again.

QUOTE(jono@home @ Jul 27 2009, 02:47 PM) using 639... works fine

next one I used was 648.. and came across same problems..

cant find any revisions for anything over 639...

so anything from 640 onwards could be problematic!

EDIT: narrowed it down some more..

rev 647 works fine.. so the problem lies from rev648 onwards...

the problem i had was any game requiring alt-dol loading woot go blackscreen then boot to system menu
downgraded to 647 and all is good again

wiitdb.zip goes in the config folder. I can't help you with running off the hard drive only as I use the SD card all the time for convenience.

noob question alert, yes or no will do please.

Do you have to have a MotionPlus to play Wii Sports Resort ????

I watched the video
reset the wii to menu
I turned off the ALTDOL option
I got it to work and can't get past the "Connect the Wii MotionPlus accessory to the Wii Remote" screen.

Is it possible to add under settings the option to delete any .cfg files in the config folder through usbloader? I put usbloader on my friends wii and since he doesnt know much about computers or even has an sd reader to delete those files manually itll help alot with code dumps. For example, when he was clicking on favorites or any icon to sort the games, eventually it crashed. After that he couldnt load usbloader at all because it would keep doing a code dump. so i fixed it my deleting the .cfg files. Or if it does continue to crash at startup, maybe hold a button on the wiimote that would automatically erase those files before loading usbloader.
