Hacking USB loader GX and Wii Backup loader suddenly wont work

Suddenly is a loosely put term. Anyways I used to use USB Loader GX blah blah something happened then someone switched me to Wii Backup Loader which worked amazingly. Then life got in the way and it has been some time since i last played wii. I plugged my external USB hdd in (which i have played many games off before) and I get the splash screen for both, then it returns me to the home menu with no errors. Please help I'm getting very frustrated.

Are you using WBFS? It sounds like your drive got corrupted. You can use Wii Backup Manager to check it I believe, but if you're using WBFS as a partition you shouldn't anymore. It's very unreliable and difficult if not impossible to repair errors.

Also, Wii Backup Loader (if you're referring to the Waninkoko one) is very old and no longer supported.
