Hey, I just got an old arcade machine (a Rygar one) from a friend and it doesn't work. I'm going to mod it into a PC MAME setup with a shelf for a mouse and keyboard perhaps. My question is about the arcade monitor.
I need to remove it to replace it with the LCD screen. Do I have to discharge the monitor with the screwdriver method (I'm not reusing the monitor or anything because it is already damaged) on can I remove it without discharging it?
Also, another problem popped up, there's a wooden panel that's part of the back in the way of the part I need to discharge, the little suction cup thing. I can't get the board off. Edit: it's stapled on, blocking access to removing the monitor or even accessing it.
