For those that complaint having to re install NSP's again, here is something to consider, why not just convert your NSP's to XCI's?
That's what I have been doing lately, and it has just been a relief not having to install NPS's! More info HERE about the NSC Builder.

I converted all the NSP's that I had previously installed to XCI, one of the options with this app is that you can add any updates or dlc you like into the XCI, if, in future there is a new update or dlc for a game, no worries, you can simply use the same XCI that you created and there will be an option to remove previous update/dlc's.

NSC builder allows to delete updates and dlcs from custom xci? With which option?

Converted my whole library into XCI with updates and DLC in one XCI - Saves so much time over nsp install when you have a huge library

99% of games work here - Emunand 8.01 sysnand 8.01

Only issue so far is still nba 2k19 and sonic mania with update and dlc embedded wont mount

Option 2 also trims update data and makes xci same size as nsp

NSC builder is simply awesome Thank You to the author

If you load em from SX Installer 1.52, they'll mount, believe me.

what when updates come out that are mandatory? do you have to repack them all over again?

You don't save them to your harddrive like a sane person?

Games installed from a certain old SXOS version won't work with SXOS 2.71. I can tell by isolating those nsps, they were all installed from the same period. Newer installed games all work. There must be a certificate issue in that version of SXOS to cause this.

This is one good reason not to use Freeshop, but to manually donwload all the nsp and updates so you have backups.

Anyone else unable to run NSPs installed prior to 2.7?

I've installed all these games (updates and DLCs also) from my private CDN backup yesterday on a 6.2.0 emuNAND + SX OS 2.6.1 with the Album Installer (from the USB on the dock to the SD card).
Verified that all the games could be at least launched from the menu.

After that, I've updated SX OS to 2.7 and updated the emuNAND firmware through ChoiDuJour (v1.0.2) to 8.0.1.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Overcooked: Special Edition
Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove

Can't be launched anymore (expected results, no surprise here).
The other games from the list were working as intented.

Finally, I've updated SX OS to 2.7.1 today.
Those 3 problematic games are working again.
All the other games are working as intended (no crashes, no black screens).

Could be a problem with the possible modifications, resigning and/or install method on your case, as when you reinstall your games, they are working once more.
Do you remember if you install them with Tinfoil, SX Installer or an other program ?
Installed before from SX OS and/or from AMS ?

i cant even get mine to load into the cfw menu :(

Had the same problem. The SX OS splashscreen appeared, went away and booted the Switch.
I then reverted to 2.7 BETA, same issue (for unknown reasons). However, it seems it still boots into CFW
considering I can access all my XCI's via the Album.
2.7.1 probably worked as well, never tried to go into Album though. Not sure what just happened when
switching to 2.7.1 and then back to 2.7. Bothers me that I don't get to press Boot Custom Firmware.
Never used AutoRCM so it can't be enabled.

I have that behaviour when I'm not switching off completely my console (15 secs press on POWER button on the HOME menu) - only pressing TURN OFF in the screen (POWER OPTIONS).
So the Switch remains on RCM mode and I can change my SD cards on-the-fly (multiple emuNANDs with various firmwares - for testing purposes) and relaunch directly SX OS with the CFW with the + & POWER combo buttons without having to plug-in the jig and the dongle once more.

Try to remain on the POWER button like 15-20secs on your consoles (for completely turning off the system from the RCM mode) and relaunch completely the OS from the paylaunch - if you need to access on the CFW menu (with the jig and the dongle).

Hope that it could help you both.
