This error is because the IP you are using is incorrect or it cannot connect. This happened to me too. Check your ip using ipconfig command line and make sure Windows firewalls are down (or at least have the port 80 opened).

Alright well, I did not realize how late it had gotten, so I'm gonna give up for the night. Hopefully by the time I get up someone will have make this whole thing a bit easier.

are you running HaxServer.jar from command line? if not, try that, you'll see what the error is

Did you even read my whole post?
...I have all the files and the HaxServer.jar is running via elevated command line...

I managed to get bin2mp4 to compile and was able to convert the bin files and threw them up on my ezshare self host, but so far all I've gotten is a black screen when I attempt to boot the exploits.

I'm probably missing some elementary step because I'm just skimming everything due to my impatience.

How great is the danger of bricking with this process? I really want to do it, but I would like to know how much risk is involved before I do.

None. Its a browser entry point, it doesn't touch your NAND or any sensitive part. You'd need IOSU for that and this is a kernel exploit, not IOSU.

Its worth noting that Mac users will need to launch this through Terminal WITH escalated privileges. Mac OS X does not allow binding of ports 1024 and below without root.

Code:
sudo java -jar HaxServer.jar

For everyone having an error when trying to load /hax?...
I think I found the issue. It seems like the jar is missing the 5.5.1 EUR useragent. It's there for USA, so people with a USA console on 5.5.1 should not be having this issue.
I'll see if I can whip up a fix.

Has anyone had any success self-hosting on a wifi sd card?, so far all I get when I load the mp4 is a black screen with the media controls on the gamepad, then console is then unresponsive.

..I'd check what was on the television..but my girlfriend is watching the news haha.

*edit* Just checked, black screen :(

I dont know about Wifi SD cards, but this happened to me as well. I fixed it by clearing my cookies and delete the browser save data and trying again.

Yes. Use Run > CMD and then:

cd c:\kekploit
java -jar haxserver.jar

Yes. Use Run > CMD and then:

cd c:\kekploit
java -jar haxserver.jar
try reinstalling java and rebooting the PC. Sounds like java is not in your $PATH

Thanks for the advice, so far (I've only been able to try it the once, again GF monopolising the television) but after I cleared the savedata/cookies it still froze albeit with my mii juggling on the screen instead of a blank screen.

From what I've read, it's supposed to be reasonably simple for wifi sd cards, I have a Toshiba flash air, which I've seen people have been able to get to work, I've converted the bin files to .mp4's but I get a crash every time I attempt to run them, be it by clicking the link on the flashair page or entering a url like http://flashair.com/kexploit10.mp4

I'm on 5.51 if that makes any difference.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I got my Dad a firestick for Xmas and showed him those 3rd party sites on Kodi, he loves it, all he watches anymore. He said he has got 3 letters from AT&T already about pirating, but he says f them, let them shut my internet off (He wants out of his AT&T contract anyways)
