i put the random wild on the latest update, i can go online

Hi, @Asia81. I have used your simple and useful tutorial and have successfully (at least I think so) decrypted my ROM, have obtained the "exe" and "romfs" folders, and have made the changes I wanted. I am now stuck at the very last part. When I try to open my DecryptedExHeader.bin in 3DS Builder, I get this error.

I saw that someone else in the thread had the same problem as me. When I try to run ctrtool.exe, a window appears for an instant and then disappears. Taking a picture of it looks like this.

For fix the Exheader problem :

Extract EncryptedExHeader.bin with :
ctrtool -p --exheader=EncryptedExHeader.bin rom.3ds

Decrypt it with Padxorer :
padxorer EncryptedExHeader.bin XorpadExHeader.xorpad

Delete the EcryptedExHeader.bin
Rename EncryptedExHeader.bin.out to DecryptedExHeader.bin

Should be ok for 3DS Builder now

I got it to work! I was trying to double click ctrtool.exe to run it at first, but then I managed to get it to work by using it with the command prompt. I followed those instructions you posted and got a new DecryptedExHeader.bin. It no longer gives me the error in 3DS Builder and I now have my completed file. Thank you very much for your assistance!
You might want to post this as a common error in your main post to avoid future posts like this.

Added : New method for get xorpad on 9.2 / N3DS
Fixed : Error on some ExHeader file when importing in 3DS builder
Removed : EncryptedFile.bin got with 3DS Explorer. Because i use a new line with CTR Tool, that fix some error

Try with the latest pack in the first post (on pastebin)

Updated with a little bit of change.
Now you can enter the TitleID of your game, instead of your Xorpads names. (It's a little more faster)

Does this tutorial work with 9.6.0-24U and a Sky3DS? If not could you specify on how I could go about doing that with those specifications? Also where did you get your Pokemon Alpha Sapphire rom?

So I have a mac, and I am trying to find a way to decrypt roms. Is there any way that you know of that can do what I want? I was following a tutorial (not this one) and turns out it's also just for windows.

Sometimes owning a mac can be annoying
