Wow.
Today I found out of tri-Ace sad destiny and at the same time I discovered this project.
I didn't even know 3DS translation projects were possible.

Good luck guys, I'm rooting for you :)

Hello.
So, is this the official thread for news about this translation project?
Is there any other site, like a blog, or an IRC channel, or anything else?
I am asking to bookmark everything related to this project.

How did you manage to extract the files without breaking any? Am I way out of the loop in that there's now a tool that can extract without breaking the Japanese filenames? Or are there actually no Japanese file names despite this being a Japan-only title? :wtf:

And great job so far! Progress is looking really nice ;)

No chance of that ever happening unless I drop the project. There's more that needs to be done beyond just translating text to make playing a translation patch a pleasant experience.

Understood.
I will enjoy progress updates and screenshots along the way, if and when they happen to be made.

Bumping to say that I haven't really had much time or motivation to work on this much in the last month and I probably won't be entirely free until the semester ends, so I think it's time to start looking for another translator in the meantime.

Requirements:
- Must be fluent in English
- Must have at the very least somewhere around JLPT3 to JLPT2 (or equivalent in experience) or higher (I will give you some sample text to translate). If you've played the game then you should know whether or not you can handle the text already which is my primary concern.
- Must be motivated
- Must know or be willing to learn the basics of how to use SVN

Basically, as long as you are competent and can follow instructions then you should be fine. I check over everything that other people commit to the SVN so if something's wrong then I'll point it out.

So far most things up until the 5th stage have been translated, so I want someone to pick up things somewhere after that point. It's not possible to differentiate lines using the data given in the script files, so there's no way to simply break the text into section. Which means that the translator must have a way to play the game and translate at the same time. I would say there's about 3000 or so lines left to translate. The lines are pretty short (1 textbox in size, at most 2 lines per textbox).

PM me if you're interested.

Why not translators that are good at Japanese and OK at English, plus QCers and editors that are fluent at English. Perhaps that combination would be easier to achieve?
My English not so good. I translate Japanese>Spanish>English

English is third language and sometimes use the google!
