I'm not sure of the mods' reasoning, but there was a big disconnect between the title of the thread and its contents. I also don't know what it had to do with politics or current events...it was a discussion about an old fad diet that was barely even popular to begin with IIRC. Seemed more appropriate for the off-topic subforum.

I saw another of your threads a few days ago (that again was a serious discussion topic) got locked before anyone had even posted a response.
Yeah it’s weird. The problem is that I don’t even get a reason, and some discussions were very interesting. Makes me not want to bother with posting serious stuff anymore and just do shitposting like the 99% of the forum activity seems to be at, as of lately.

The title literally mentioned the name of the subject. In that case, it was “ABCdiet”. No idea what you’re referring to with “big disconnect”. I posted it in that section because, as I mentioned in the (now gone) thread, it’s a dangerous “diet” that became popular again. Maybe a staffer was trying it out and got triggered?

I did not saw your posts, but if it was about a diet (I assume it is a food diet), maybe it could have something in it that the medicine advise you not to do, or not to do without medical prescription. I'm just guessing here, you will know better than me.

Im curious what were your threads about ?
One thread was about the usage of the “n word” in the US and whether it was appropriate to respond to it with violence. Another was about a thread about an old ana diet (very harmful) that I noticed getting popular once again. Both threads were having very interesting discussions within them. I really don’t understand what the problem is. If someone has a problem with my threads I can just stop making them.

It depends on where you posted those thread, Im not even sure if you are allow to post anything about the n word in any thread here, probably not even in EOF.

It was "ABCDiet, the original alphabet people" which implied some connection to LGBTQ individuals. Then in the OP you had to clarify that there was no connection, at which point you should've realized it was just a bad title and changed it before submitting.

I came to this realization long ago. My threads use to be 100% serious. But now it's why bother. So now I shit post. I use to be like you once upon a time. All 100% serious.

Tired of the entire "BUT BUT BUT WINDOWZ SPYWARE!!!" thing too, when the same people give out tons of their personal info to plenty of other companies but say nothing about it.

@RedColoredStars, Companies do the exact same thing with other companies as well, so it's not just Microsoft. There are 3rd-parties like 'data brokers'.

I'm 52 years old and one of my jobs in life was marketing research. Im well aware. I've been online for around 30 years. Everyone and their grandmother already has my personal information. One more having my email address isn't ruining my life or even effecting me in any way whatsoever.
