This error came up today on my Vwii, and you can see the picture of it (attached).

If boot into maintenance mode, I can access home brew channel, then hit "exit to system menu" and everything works fine

Please, can anyone help me?

How many items do you have on the home menu other than the default ones the Wii puts there and HBC? Do they all work?

If not, delete the offending ones from Wii settings. Forwarders may have to be removed via the WAD used to install them.

First off, thank you very very much. I tested everything and here are the results.

full list: disc channel : works

mii channel : works

wii u menu : works

wii : manual works

wii system transfer :works

wii shop channel

mario kart ctgp: edit:works ( "Could not load ctpg-r, your pack my be corrupted" )

homebrew channel forwarder (green) :works

homebrew channel forwarder (blue) : works

mail icon / sd card / wii options :all work

Also, oddly, the wii started just fine now, twice, once with no SD in, once with an SD in, then gave the same error

Also, I have several dozen games on the sd card, which over the course of the last week, I deleted the ones that would not load.

Furthermore, in the past, I had a few forwarders to things like SNES9x and Genplus, which I removed by hitting "wii" on the bottom left, then channels, and used that to uninstall.

That message usually only happens with 3rd party software on the wii.

Did you try to install a theme, WAD, or anything recently when it started doing that?

Good to hear, that's why I was asking about channels. Not all channels and forwarders were made for vWii.

My wii s fixed.

For anyone who reads this in the future, the issue was the Mario Kart CTGP R channel being installed.

You my friend made my day. You fixed your issue and posted a solution.

It pisses me off to no end when people fix their problem, and simply respond "fixed" without providing a solution.

the odd thing was, it worked some of the time, but not all of the time, so it must have been some mix of the sd card and the channel.

and @paulttt, I figured it would get some use eventually

Thanks again to all.
