So far I've preordered and paid off

Gamestop

PS Vita First Edition Bundle
32GB Memory Card
Army Corps of Hell
Gravity Rush
Hot Shots Golf
LittleBigPlanet
MLB 12
ModNation Racers
Shinobido 2
Touch My Katamari
Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3
Uncharted
Virtua Tennis 4
Wipeout 2048

Amazon

Dragon's Crown(Vita & PS3) Couldn't resist the $29.99 each deal.

Still waiting for Gamestop to start taking preorders for Dungeon Hunter, Dynasty Warriors, Lumines, Ninja Gaiden, and Rayman Origins.

That sounds like quite an expensive pre-order. Most I have ever pre-ordered was my WoW Collectors Edition a while back, and before that FF 12 :P

I'm interested to hear how some of those games actually play once they are available in the West. I've always loved the wipeout series, and I hear it is one of the better games on PSV atm (Besides Uncharted)

OT: I am not likely to pre-order one of these, at least not until I move overseas. Over here we get screwed over with 3G network plans. I know AT&T isn't much better, but it still beats going with Optus or Telstra :)

Oh wow I didn't update at all but I've had my Wi-Fi Vita paid off for a while along with a 32 gig memory card (the latter mostly credit). Also gonna go to GameStop today to pick up UMVC3 for 10-ish (got a free $25 gift card and a $5 coupon from PowerUp), maybe a case too. That's it for a while, that game and the demos available on PSN will keep me busy plenty. And I still need to finish up some 3DS games.

That's what I'm leaning towards, will get a Vita sometime 2013 I guess then.

I won't be out that often apart from School ever so a PS3 seems better... just worried about Sony announcing something new because of the WiiU

I think the announcement will probably come about 1 - 2 years later.

So UMVC3 was only available for those that reserved but all other Vita games are clearly in stock for everyone at my GameStop. Target the only other closest store, isn't selling games til the 22nd. Either gonna make 2 trips or just one and go digital. I got a 32 gig in my hands now but I want to reserve as much space for DLC, PSP games, and videos, some music.

I put $50 down on a wifi vita.

I'll probably switch to a 3g $299 bundle because it's a better deal though. :P

After accounting for the 8GB card ($30) and psn game ($10) there is only $10 of the extra $50 to make up.

The GPS functionality of the 3g unit should help close the final $10 gap I think. The 3g AT&T service is worthless to me, but it should up the resale value of the system. :)

I'm confused, how is it a better deal?
I edited that post with an explanation.

I would like to add also that the 3g is a good investment because you never know what future features Sony (or hackers) may implement with it in the future. :)

i got the 3g one for 248$ off that [censored] site and uncharted for 35$ so im pretty satisfied. got uncharted yesterday in the mail, which is sad....because now i have to stare at it for another 4-5 days until the system is here. I would have completely ignored the 3g one, but the 8gb memory stick comes with it, which i was going to get anyways...and paying 2$ less then the wifi version(no tax or shipping) made it doubley-sweet.

and like others have said, who knows what having the 3g for the future might do. Its crap now, but it might find its use sooner or later.
