Hey thanks for the review. I was wondering if you know when they're going to be releasing this to the public and how much will they be. Around the same price as the original one ? Regardless. I am super stoked for this product.

Does Wii U mode work with Dolphin, since development builds have support for the official Wii U GC adapter now?

Regardless if that works, would you be able to run F-Zero's joystick test with both Dolphin and Nintendont (both Wii U and PC modes if possible for both setups) and compare results to the ones on this page: https://dolphin-emu.org/blog/2015/01/01/dolphin-progress-report-december-2014/

I should have my hands on one for review soon! I'll do a unboxing video once it gets here!
Where can I buy one?

Speaking of Nintendont, should I plug this adapter into the front or back ports?

Should work in any port as of v2.230

Obviously your going to have to use HIDtest first to make the controller.ini

The black cord is probably power and the other cord is probably for rumble.

My biggest gripe with the Wii U is the lack of native internal 1080p resolution rendering of Wii games. Also, the vWii's video quality is utter shit compared to the Wii, from what people have told me; That makes me want to keep my Wii when I get a Wii U, and not even touch the vWii.
I can vouch for this: tried Brawl and it looked as bad if not worse than on Wii with composite cables.. And I use component cables on my Wii. Since the Wii U uses HDMI, it would have been great to get even 720p Wii mode. Unfortunately we don't, it just looks horrible.

Any tutorial on how to use the HID test?

I can explain it pretty easily

so if you have the adapter plugged in there should be a bar of numbers in HIDtest

pretend this is it

11 11 11 11 11 11 11 11 11 11 11 11 11

Each 11 is an offset, starting with 0

if you press A then it would change to this

11 11 11 18 11 11 11 11 11 11 11 11 11

See how offset 3 changed to 18?

then on the controller.ini you should have A=3,18

Repeat this for every button

Analog sticks are a bit different

If you push the analog stick to the left and it does this

11 11 11 11 11 11 11 11 AA 11 11 11 11

StickX=8 (you just need the offset, not the value the offset changes to)

repeat for stickY, CstickX, and CstickY

you also need to add the sensitivity to the analog sticks. Adding ,0,100 seems to work for most. So stickX=8,0,100

Use this as a base

[Mayflash Wii U GameCube Controller Adapter]
VID=
PID=
Polltype=1
DPAD=1

A=
B=
X=
Y=
Z=
L=

Right=
Up=
RightUp=
DownRight=
DownLeft=
UpLeft=
StickX=
StickY=
CStickX=
CStickY=

Doesn't Nintendont have support for the official Wii U adapter? If mayflash is doing what I think they're doing, shouldn't this new Mayflash adapter work in Wii U mode with Nintendont without any special configuration?

Every HID-USB controller requires a controller.ini to be present

If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming
