Gaming Tales of Symphonia released on Steam

...and is apparently a broken PS3 port with reports of as much as 4 DRM types in play causing a whole mess of bugs and issues. ToS fans everywhere are outraged.

Symphonia is one of my favorite Gamecube games. I was hoping to play through it again in HD. I guess not.

Truly? Well, that's a shame. I sadly never got to play the original, and when I heard this was coming, I thought I'd rather buy it in HD rather than emulate it. If it doesn't work, I guess I'll just go emulate it then.

Game companies are assholes.
I could very well pay for this again and play it on PC, given they put their fucking effort on making the game playable.
But they decide to invest that effort on making the thing a DRM-infested buggy chore to play thing.
Given this I have zero moral remorse on downloading (not even making them myself) the ISOS for my GC disks and playing them upscaled on dolphin.

Hell, put some effort on satisfying the people that pay!
You are just driving the paying customers away, people that pirate still don't give a fuck.
