Homebrew Tales of Innocence ar code problems

I have the English patched rom and there's some codes for speed manipulation but I don't want to go super fast all the time, especially in cities because it can be a pain trying to navigate and sometimes you run through an area triggered event because you're going to fast. So I decided to add a button activator so the code would work when the button is pressed and would shut off when the button is released (Or so I thought...). Well, when I tried the button, it would activate the code but wouldn't shut off... so I thought that I would add button activators for the different speeds (x2 x3 x4) and maybe they would replace each other and I could adjust the speed but that didn't work. The first code that was in the cheat list would be the only one that would work, so I disabled the "one hot" option but that still didn't fix the problem.

So could someone please explain to me why these codes won't work? They're supposed to disable with the start button also but that doesn't work either.

Also, the "Click R + Down Kill All Enemies" code doesn't work either, why is this?
