I am big fan of SAO! I was looking so hard for English version of this game and I couldn't find it anywhere. I would like so much to get fully translated one and I strongly support this project! I hope everything will work out and we will get our game fully scripted to English ;)

Thanks whoever works on this project and supports it <3

Thank you, the support is appreciated. Still a lot of work to be done, but we'll get there.

Hi there, I'd just like to thank everyone working on this for their amazing ongoing work, I don't have the foggiest idea when it comes to Japanese writing, and i can only grasp the most basic of Japanese speech, so I cannot lend a hand, and so I think it's only right i do as much as i can - keep the morale up, so thanks all of you, you're all amazing :D

If that guy wants to contribute it would be a lot faster?
Indeed. It looks like he has most of the things we haven't translated yet done. They're a little Engrishy since he's not a native English speaker, and it would take some time to convert it into the form used in the game's data, but yeah, it would speed things up a lot.

So, the question is if it is possible for someone who has absolutly no idea how to convert this to just translate/edit what this guy has written, and have one of you guys doing the hard stuff?

That's what an editor does, if we do use whatever this guy has translated, we need to edit it, for consistency and to fix errors.

PS: I like your pic.

Very fake, you can't just start a patch @0.6 version, also, no screens, no proof, one more thing, if you check their blog, it's full of bullfeces.

I hate that BLOG! It's love plus for NDS patch! he just makes money from link shorteners!
The guy is everywhere, PPSSPP forums, here, every place i look for a Sword Art Online English Patch there he is copying that link!
People thinks you released a patch because they see that fake and your screenshots and mix everything grrr!!

When I first tried to look for SAO translation all I found was that scam blog.

Maybe you guys should start a wordpress for the project? I imagine relatively few people actually find out about this translation project that's tucked away inside a general thread about the game. More publicity will also help with recruiting contributors too.

Omarrios is actually making a forum and possibly a blog about it.

For OFS3 files, i found that in a website :
OFS3 header (16-bytes)
0x00: [4-bytes] OFS3 file signature (it's always 4F46 5333)
0x04: [4-bytes] OFS3 Header size (it's always 1000 0000)
0x08: [4-bytes] Unknown value
0x0c: [4-bytes] Nametable Start address (this points to the end of the file if nametable doesnt exist)

OFS3 Filetable (variable size)
data table starts with a 4-byte value indicating file count.
each file entry consists of 12-bytes

0x10: [4-bytes] Number of files

0x14: [4-bytes] File Start Address
0x18: [4-bytes] File Length
0x1c: [4-bytes] Filename Position
So perhaps it will help you :)

Kind of, he says that he doesn't think his English is good enough to contribute, but I don't think he cares if I look at his translations if I'm having difficulties with a weird line. So, on net, helpful.

if that is a problem all you need a "Editor" or "ProofReader" for checking errors/correcting his grammar on his translation..

If you just want pi for emulation no point when Anbernic releases new shit every two seconds

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
What's really cool about Pi's tho is you can have multiple SD cards with different OS on each SD card and change from say a gaming machine to a full fledged pc if wanted
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Plus all bios are set up and usually includes at least 128gbs or 64
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah but if your main goal is just to play n64 and GameCube you can save about $50 and have the portability option

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
True, but on 2 monitors at 4k. Its just want you want really, to each they own.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
For a kids aspect Anbernic would be the better option they'd probably melt over the price on a good 4k display

For that texasroo guy, I'd recommend the Spell and speak as his first system.

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
So they buy a pi5 kit for about $150 and say a 28" 4k display probably looking around $400 total
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They'll be getting in the territory of portable Pcs anyway
    +1
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Again you get what you pay for, its like buying a S series for $300 but its only 1440p native, if you want true 4k, gotta get the X model for $500. But yea you right, when moms buying it anyways, you gotta stay cheap.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They could use HD out on their TV no real need for a monitor these days tbh the purists will disagree
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I'm kind of phasing out on the need for wanting all these consoles cool to have but they just become dust build ups
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I here ya there, I have too many myself, and have hard time letting them go, since most of mine I've modded at some point. Anymore I just play Switch on the go, seriesx at home.
