I recently acquired a switch that was attempted to put a hwfly core and it seems it knocked off the capacitors from sp1 AND sp2. My question is, I have several joy con parts does anyone know if I can use any of those capacitors to replace the the ones that got knocked off ?

I'm running lakka on my switch, and I want retroarch to reboot to hekate, but there isn't a uEnv.txt file in my Lakka folder. Where would I find it to put it in there?

Im trying to use Edizon for cheats. However, my plants and zombie neighborville that I downloaded on nw2u has different build ID than the cheat build ID. How do I find specific build ID for that game.
My cheat build ID is C8CE497181FBD794

But some ppl update both with daybreak, but my question is with the sysmmc, because i have some installed games and i didnt use my sysmmc for nothing, but idk if is risky for a ban

Good software for streaming remote games to Nintendo switch (non Android) ? . Is there a huge difference in moonlight performance on Android and switch/is it possible to set it properly on Linux.

As far as CFW is concerned, only update your emummc with daybreak. Don't touch your sysmmc if you don't want to, especially if you don't play online. My sysmmc is fw 2.3, and my emummc is on 16.0.2.

I injected hekate payload successfully into my switch with Tegrarcmgui then accidentally press to launch ofw. Now it launch only into ofw and it cant be detected by the Tegrarcmgui as RCM device.(It shows unknown device on device manager)

If you have autoRCM, just turn off your Switch and reboot. If you use a jig to get in RCM, turn off your Switch and use that. You'll get back to Hekate and from there launch your CFW.

This procedure is to get in RCM. When you have the black screen, you're ready to inject the payload. Do it with your tegraRCMgui.
I injected it once, that time works fine. After that, I launched stock once, turned it off then try to get back to hekate, it wont get in hekate. Now when i connect it to both my laptop and pc it shows Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed) in device manager and tegrarcmgui wont detect it as RCM device.

It's probably you didn't turn off your Switch properly. Hold power button 20 secs and it will completely turn off in that time frame. Then go into RCM with your jig, and try again to inject the payload. If you have an injector device like RCMLoader One, you can also try with that instead of tegrarcmgui.

Still doesnt work, I'll get an injector and try later. I wonder if formatting the switch helps?

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
