unless you get lucky and someone has seen that and knows what to do, you will have to explain wth is happening in detail. If you are here you should at least know about your hekate/atmosphere files.

You are trying to access a Nintendo Online feature and something is blocking communication. What game are you trying to play, Emunand or Sysnand, are you using 90dns or dns:mitm?

i updated FW to 16.0.0 and AMS to 15.0. i updated my sigpatches aswell. i still get the Software could be started error. what to do?

I’m still on firmware 15 and am ignoring the prompts to update to 16. Splatoon 3 (cartridge version which I play on Stock) requires a software update to play online. Is this safe to install? As in it won’t have an impact on me booting to CFW?

not that I know of but I did update hekate. Also you should back up your latest ofw. When atmosphere gets a full release then update ams.....Thats when u apply the firmware you backed up

just use the prerelease https://github.com/Atmosphere-NX/Atmosphere/releases/tag/1.5.0-prerelease. The only reason I dont use it is because its pre release and I have no reason to upgrade my stuff. Thats not sus eh? xD

I get that with any downloaded game I load up in Emunand, even w/ TinFoil. But on the other V1 console it doesn't do it...

Update - I figured it out! The one that gets the error has a legit Nintendo online account associated with it, the second Switch has an account that isn't logged into the nintendo network... Makes sense now.

I prefer having stability and more certainty so am happy to lose out on some online stuff to ensure I can get into CFW.

What has the timescale been between pre-release and full in the past? I’m new to all this so have no idea.
