I believe this is the droid you were looking for: https://gbatemp.net/threads/switchbru-dns-v4-0-0.503818/is there a way to prevent the super nag? will the dns change for homebrew install prevent it?
I can't find much about anything for 3.0 switches with hbl because 4.0+ switches are getting all the rcm attention and stuff. I can't even find a list of useful rcm things for 3.0 and this is all making me think staying on 3.0 is pointless even though I'm being told "lower fw is better", which I know this, but it's just all stressful to see on this forum. Is there a thread for FAQ about "what works on which fw" maybe a link to said things that work.
so stressful.
Honestly! Ive commented about this a few times. All i see is RCM stuff. It seems us 3.0.0 users were forgotten about. We were SUPPOSED to get all the fusee stuff without hardmod....but that never happened. I really doubt 3.0.0 is even useful anymore. when cfw comes out no one will post about 3.0.0 exploits either.is there a way to prevent the super nag? will the dns change for homebrew install prevent it?

even though i read a FAQ thing that said 3.0.0 was supposed to get coldboot or something without the use of a jig. rip us. its still frustrating.Honestly! Ive commented about this a few times. Those of you on 3.0.0 already have homebrew. That's all us on later firmwares are just now getting. Chill out and wait.even though i read a FAQ thing that said 3.0.0 was supposed to get coldboot or something without the use of a jig. rip us. its still frustrating.
But you have to have a wifi connection for pegaswitch and can't use switchbru? It's barely homebrew? Those of you on 3.0.0 already have homebrew. That's all us on later firmwares are just now getting. Chill out and wait.
Yeah, and losing access to sleep mode and having to risk ruining your pins is?But you have to have a wifi connection for pegaswitch and can't use switchbru? It's barely homebrew?

According to ShinyQuagsire, it actually wasn't a completely non-hacked console. He launched Pegaswitch and some homebrew very early but after that, he left it completely alone. As for how this will impact us? If you modify your console in any way without Nintendo's permission, be prepared for a ban at any point.Hi guys. I read about the situation earlier on here, but with the bans from Nintendo happening, what does this mean for Switch hacking, TX Modchip, etc? I found this article online and am concerned: http://www.nintendolife.com/news/20...services_for_prominent_hackers_switch_console
According to what I read on here and in that article, the ban was on a non-hacked console. Thoughts appreciated
Its honestly pretty safe, but it technically can still get you banned so just be aware of the risk. And homebrew is completely different than downloading from Nintendo's CDN aka downloading games and content from Nintendo's servers. How safe is it just to have homebrew to just use checkpoint for BOTW and XC2? Is all I want homebrew for? Is installing homebrew messing with the CDN?

Jig is by far the safest and easiest method. After that, if you are aware of the risks of using this tool, you can install briccmii to prevent your Switch from ever booting up and instead booting into RCM.Thank you! What is the method you would recommend to install homebrew? Using aluminium foil or a jig?

That's fine, I don't mind answering questionsBy safest and easiest method, you mean that it won't ruin my switch in the long run, correct? The risks would be that there is still a chance of getting banned, correct? Sorry if I am asking a lot of questions. I don't think booting straight to RCM always is something I want. Since I am only modding my BOTW save file once.

The risks are present in any and all unathorized modifications to your system. Booting into RCM wouldn't be one of those risks. Loading the homebrew to dump your save presents a risk, but a very minor one at that. Honestly, I would be pretty surprised if you were to get banned for doing something minor like that.
