Hi, Just wondering if its safe to use 87w macbook pro charger with switch? and will it work with dock.

Yes, I use my Thinkbook 65W charger without issue. The main key is to make sure it supports USB-PD, the chip that communicates with the device with how much voltage it needs, and the macbook charger definetly supports the standard.

You should use the official charger, if it supply the wrong voltage the system is asking for you brick.
