What a waste of 4 years.......
If you think it's so easy to stay civilized and productive when you're working with a bunch of teenagers, why don't you make your own hack and see how it is? :P Most of the stuff was a bunch of designs, we never even got one star finished with custom models until literally today. It's not easy working with the Wii's tiny texture cache and getting the game to not crash on you with a multitude of planets and objects.

The full Super Mario Galaxy 2.5 project has been revived as a new, smaller-scale hack. This project is a one world full blown SMG2 hack. We’ve got designs and models for 7 galaxies and 20 Stars, as well as 20 green stars. With all that complete we’ve been working on texturing all the models, importing, and then creating the levels themselves. All of these galaxies are based on ideas from the original 2.5 project. You can look forward to the following in our demo:
-A brand new world map!
-Brand new models!
-New music!
-Retextured Bosses!
-Custom Text for NPCs, World Map, and Stars!
-Custom Credits!
-Return of the Red Star and Ice Flower!

A small teaser can be found below, and we have more info on Kuribo64. Make sure to subscribe to our channel for more videos of our hack! Also, we'd love to have other people assist us with the project. We've gotten a lot done on this demo but we still need help. If you can do UV texturing well, show us an example of your work and we’ll let you texture some models. If you are good with Whitehole (our level editor) and level creation, we will let you work on any unfinished level.
