Hacking Spoofing a Wii U from 5.5.1 > 5.5.2 and Disabling Updates

but i already spoofed my firmware to 5.5.2 and i want to go to eshop to download Brain Age for Haxchi but gives a message about the firmware version.

As @the_randomizer pointed out, you need to use NNU patcher to gain access to eshop.

i only have haxchi installed (not cbhc), will i still be able to access homebrew from haxchi if i use this pack to spoof along with being able to access online (not eshop)

What is the actual point of spoofing the wiiu?? My wiiu is still on 5.5.1 thanks to dns blockers I can still play online (was just playing Mario Maker) I can still access the eshop using nnu patcher. Using the spoofer I would still need nnu patcher for eshop I'm still going to get update nags so what is the benefit of spoofing cause I can't see any.

Another way to block updates:

WiiU use ftpiiu_everywhere open the service, PC client open storage_mlc \ sys directory, delete the update folder

Method has been tested, will not affect the game online,

if want to upgrade the system Just to re-create the update folder

So I am on 5.5.1 and I use Cold Boot Haxchi CFW. Is there any reason not to update? Losing the browser exploit doesn't bother me since I already have everything installed.

The "tmp" was probably here to be used for a certain thing. Eg, like most things, the system needs to temporarily holds the operation somewhere.

Spoofing your version will allow you to play online in all games, it will not allow you access the eshop without nnu patcher and you should still use a update blocking dns.

Yes this is safe, it's literally just version data, you can't brick.

It was removed because it contained copyrighted code, it wasn't allowed. You'll need NUS Grabber and get the data manually. It's not hard to do, follow the guide, it's straightforward.

Yes but the Spoof is pointless all online games still work on 5.5.1 as does access to the eShop using nnu patcher.

not sure if the spoof served a purpose on 5.3.2 either. it was supposed to allow for playing online, nothing more, afaik, but if u can still play online, I really don't know what the point is. lol

Exactly the Spoof has no purpose on a spoofed 5.5.2 wiiu you still need to run nnu patcher to access the eshop your aswell just staying on 5.5.1
