Dusting off the ol' Wii U.. getting ready for April 8th.. the solar eclipse, and Wii U servers going down. Coincidence!? Are they trying to tell us something? 
Anyway, before it all comes to an end.. I want to move from Haxchi to Aroma, so I can get Pretendo going.
I'm trying to avoid any unnecessary writes to my NAND, so I'm wondering if there is any good reason to update past 5.5.1? AFAICT, all recent updates just add "system stability" aka exploit patches. I already checked the Health & Safety app, since that needs an injection, and it hasn't been updated since 2014.. so I should be good there.
Update: Everything went smoothly, updating to Aroma on 5.5.1.
I'm still a little unclear how I'll handle transferring Mii, Saves, etc. to Pretendo.. Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks.
