So uh, this may be slightly old and stuff, but uhm, I decided to replay spirit tracks on my Supercard, and for whatever reason, it's not really working. The patched version of the game leads to a blank white screen, while with the clean version I was able to get as far as the first song concert, but then the screen freezes at a black screen. Any advice?

Supercard two, and the uhhhh.... I THINK it's the xenophobia patch?

I do know that by jiggling between clean and patched I can sometimes get it to work in the menu, but on the clean cheats/ds emulator won't load (like I can't use the shortcut to get back to the cheat screen), and on patched it white stalls.

Also I made it to the second area, and it black screened me again on clean <_<

Right after the sequence with the pipes and stuff. No idea what's wrong. Is it possible the rom's bad?

Could very well be a bad rom.
I have the game running perfectly on my flashcard, with no extra patch applied. Also using a Supercard Dstwo.

Yeah a DStwo should not have any issues. Bad ROM, bad SD card or bad connections are where I am going for now.

If it was an old GBA slot supercard (hence the question) it might have been a different matter. That also makes the xenophobia one redundant.

There are some patches to make the touch pad stuff go away ( https://gbatemp.net/threads/legend-of-zelda-spirit-track-d-pad-patch.374773/ is the current suggested one, there are some older similar patches too).

If your Spirit Tracks dump has one of the following hash information then your game is fine: (These are proper dump hashes)
File: The Legend of Zelda - Spirit Tracks (USA) (En,Fr,Es).nds

Most flashcarts need an AP fix for Revision 1 to work, regardless the game works. One thing to keep in mind is most Xenophobia dumps are bad, stay away from them.

If the clean dump doesn't work try setting the DSTWO to clean mode.

Figured out the issue. Apparently having the cheats on causes the white screen to pop up and freeze. So it was just a matter of turning it off before starting it and then afterwards turning it back on.

Thanks for the help!

$60 for a game that's a decade old might be unheard of on PC but actually is not uncommon on consoles
