Hey tempers,

So I did search around and was not able to find a thread about small-ish PS3 games. Since I live in Canada, and our bandwidth is set each month by the ISP's (boo), downloading 20GB+ games is (usually) out of the question.

So I'm looking for small PS3 games. How small? Say, under 6GB or so.
I know 3D Dot Game Heroes and Disgaea 3 are each about 2GB respectively, so that's a good start.

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

I've tried that, and as someone who works with Wikicode often, it's quite retarded. It sorts by number of characters, (ie everything in column 1, then column 2, etc.) so "12GB" will show up as being smaller than "3.76GB" even though we all know that's a blatant lie. It also isn't a complete list by any means.

Yes, it is a good list, and I was wondering if anyone had any other recommendations as well.

Thanks for telling him PSN games.
They don't work on older (homebrew enabled) firmware.
I also want to test Flower but I would lose the homebrew.

Recommended (my own liking):
3D Dot (3.4GB) : Adventure (play on external only to prevent freezes).
Atelier Rorona: Alchemist of Arland (4GB) : RPG / text RPG
Disgaea 3 - Absence of Justice (2GB) : Tactical RPG
Overlord Raising Hell (3.7GB): Action
Prince of Persia (the one in cell shading) (5GB)
Prince of Persia The forgotten sands (5GB)
Wipeout HD Fury (2GB) : EUR got disc release instead of PSN dlc.

There are more little games, but I don't know a lot of games on PS3.

If you can afford bigger games (just imagine you have 2 little games, take your time to get it),
I would recommend:
Castlevania Lords of Shadow. (12GB)

I may be wrong but I think Red Dead Redemption was around 4GB.
Also there is a release of Flower. I couldn't get run it but I heard people somehow got it to work.

well that's a PSN game too, unless there was some retail version i never heard about, and i thought PSN games worked on hacked ps3s, didn't realize they hadn't figured that out
EU has a retail disc out, everywhere else its DLC though

What about Flower?
Does it really exist a disc version of the game?
There is no release listed on abgx.net

I found only the PSN one, and some people are claiming it's working only because they already played it once when PSN access was possible and their console still have the game certificate, or they have the "demo+update patch" from debug server (which is now closed access from a browser).

As far as I know it's only PSN. There is a pkg version split into 10 separate files. You have to install each level, play it, then quit and install the next one. Or so the instructions I've read say. I've yet to try it and do not know if it works or not.

I've never heard anyone else say to play that on external before, nor have I had any issues playing it on internal myself (though I haven't finished it yet)

About the only thing I'd say is if you play it on internal go ahead and get rid of the optional install data (or don't use the option for it in the first place if you're just starting) as there's no need if you're playing from internal.

on internal it sometime doesn't pass past the first loading screens.
I think when you see the title screen then it's working fine and won't freeze in game.

There's also the solution to use PSN-like installation on internal HDD and launch it from XMB.

@Rad140:
I saw the flower pkg pack, but it's levels injected in the demo. Only one level at a time, and no trophy or saves.
I should try it too
