I'm not technical savvy at all, but if fw.img is IOS 255 or contains IOS 255, can't we just patch trucha bug in? I remembers back in the Wii days there was CIOSCORP which trucha-patched every single IOS. It was a pretty bad idea, but it means IOSes can be trucha patched.

I doubt it would be that easy, but it would be awesome if it were. We need someone on the case

those are the only 2 files you have to rename and no, none of them have the .bin extension. Just rvlt.tik and rvlt.tmd.

Or do you mean originally?? if so yes they were originally .bin files.. but renamed to .tik and .tmd

I patched SMGs fw.img but the patcher should be able to patch every fw.img.

I downloaded the source code of an IOS patcher yesterday and got the byte patterns
Trucha patch
original : 0x20,0x07,0x4B,0x0B
change to : 0x20,0x07,0x23,0xA2

So if you patched truncha back in (mad props btw) that means scrubbed VC's? not to mention true homebrew iso's are possible?
