a valid Sega Saturn bios file must be placed on the root of your SD card and it must be named bios.bin
is not in the file
what is in the file is
boot.elf
icon
meta

I got it from a site ..
enjoy
If you use homebrew channel

apps\yabause\bios.bin
apps\yabause\boot.elf

Place in the same folder your game (must have a cue and a iso)
rename the cue file to game.cue (your iso and mp3's can keep their original name)

1. You need a USB keyboard for input
2. a valid Sega Saturn bios file must be placed on the root of your SD card and it must be named bios.bin
3. The ISO files of the games must be placed on the root of your SD card
4. Again , ALL I DID WAS COMPILE THE SOURCE CODE , ALL CREDIT GOES TO THE YABAUSE TEAM

Can you even play many Saturn games on the PC? I seriously doubt it's worth more than a fun experiment.

With sff you can play them just about perfectly and with great compatibility.

I'm trying to use it now with nights...I get to the menu and whenever I press 2 nothing happens..when I press "start emulation" I get to a black screen and when I press the power button I get a code dump.

If this does work, what games are worth playing on the Saturn. I did buy a Dreamcast and liked a few games on that system, so I'm not too familar with Saturn Games, any good ones that haven't already made it to other consoles... (like Sonic,Nights)

So....to play a game, using the HBC, I need to:
- put the bios in the apps/yabause/ dir
- put the game in the same dir???
or
- put the game in the root of the SD??
but in a dir or just like this, cue+iso+mp3 ??

the cue must be named game.cue, but if I have more than one game? I can only have one game each time?

I believe it's the first one. You might want to wait, this seems like barely an alpha

yeah yeah....I've managed to get this emu working: tried with a Euro bios, put the cue+iso+mp3 in the same folder of the HBC apps dir, and I've discovered it doesn't need the USB keyboard...I've used the wiimote...

The bios starts, the game seems to start, but it don't go further the SEGA screen...
Maybe it's the game...maybe it's the emu...

The games i can't wait to play:

Nights
the Panzer Dragoon games

and

X-Men vs Street Fighter
(and to a lesser extent Marvel Super Heroes, Marvel Vs Street Fighter and X-men: Children of the Atom)

Ahhh the memories.
Methinks the Dreamcast will be hooked up this weekend for some MvsC2 action. I miss that game

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Booo.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's dumb
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Maybe.
  • Veho @ Veho:
There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.

Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
