SecretLab Overwatch 2 Collection - Tracer Edition Impressions

After releasing that eye-catching D.va-themed pink gaming chair a while back, SecretLab is back with a new collection from the Overwatch franchise to coincide with the recent launch of Overwatch 2. The company has expanded its Overwatch-themed line of chairs with a Genji and Tracer edition; and we’ll take a look at the latter model here.

While the Tracer Edition is a brand-new product available to pre-order on the official SecretLab website, it is based off the SecretLab Titan Evo 2022 that we recently reviewed. I’d recommend taking a look at the full review as well before diving in this impressions piece!

Starting at €674, the Tracer Edition is fairly easy to set up and I could manage to assemble it on my own within half an hour. The package included a handy printed step-by-step guide which doubles as a nice poster on the flip side. I found this to be a nice touch as the poster matches the chair’s colour palette to further help customise your setup and its dual use also helps reduce waste!

Once set up, the chair is ready to be used and SecretLab doesn’t disappoint on the comfort. Out of the gaming chairs I’ve tried, the Titan Evo 2022 is definitely the comfiest I’ve used. It quickly turned into my favourite chair whether I’m working at my desk, gaming on my Xbox or even on my Switch. This is largely thanks to SecretLab’s proprietary cold-cure foam mix that hits the right spot of softness and support. The level of comfort is truly unprecedented and you'd be hard-pressed to find a similar feel elsewhere.

You can further adjust the chair to a personalised fit by tilting the backrest, positioning the armrests and configuring the integrated lumbar support. The latter is a real winner as you can adjust its position and curvature based on your preference.

The included neck pillow also adds a nice touch as it is magnetic, allowing you to really position it based on your liking. This is in contrast to other elastic ones that I found to be too high up or too low; but never adjustable at the optimal position. Finding that optimal position is now totally possible with SecretLab’s magnetic pillow and I hope this becomes the norm from now on.

Such attention to details and ergonomic design indicate SecretLab’s crafting expertise and it’s on full display with the Tracer Edition. Of course, what sets the Trace Edition of the Titan Evo 2022 apart is the Tracer theme. The chair’s colour accents and patterns are inspired by the character. Like Tracer’s leggings, the chair features subtle honeycomb patterns on the backrest and seat while the majority of the chair’s upholstery adorns the off-white, orange, yellow and blue colour palette of the character’s outfit. The rear side of the backrest further features a motif that is reminiscent of Tracer’s Blink ability that stands out with its bright blue gradient leatherette.

Despite loving the unique look of the Tracer Edition, I couldn't help but notice how the neck pillow stands out as it does not bear a similar colour scheme as the rest of the upholstery. At the very least, one that bears a passing colour resemblance to that of the chair would be welcome to make it a better fit. That said, the magnetic positioning of the pillow greatly helps overlook this visual hiccup.

This Tracer Edition’s look is purely aesthetic in nature and you can always get the regular Titan Evo 2022 version and save considerably. But this model packs a unique look that you surely won’t find elsewhere, especially with the comfort it delivers. It does have a premium price tag but this is reflected on the overall quality, design and ergonomics of the chair. If the SecretLab Overwatch 2 Collection - Tracer Edition strikes you fancy, it will deliver an unprecedented level of comfort while packing a unique look.

Reminder that gaming chairs are an absolute scam, and you'll get better back support with proper office chairs. Also ActiBlizz is some of the worst scum of the earth, and I'm pretty sure they get a cut from these sales, so double nope.

I bought one of these secretlab chairs. Helped with my back pain. My old chair was just an absolute piece of shit, I guess.

I use my Ikea chair and it is way better than any of these Gaming chairs.
Secretlab chairs actually aren't terrible. Even if they're advertised as "gaming chairs" their ergonomics are far better than those shitty racing chairs. My buddy has one. While the seat is a bit more firm than I'd like, it's one of the most comfortable seats I've ever sat in. For the price it better be, though.

Alright but does the chair feel like sitting on Tracer's lap? Really I think that's all we need to know.

Is there a competition for world's dumbest opinions? I hope so cuz you might get the gold mate. Most office chairs are a scam too lmao. And most offer absolute fuck all for actual back support. Gamer chairs are identical to office chairs in the sense that you need to watch what you buy and both can offer good support if you look in the right places. Derp. Try not to over-generalize, it's bad for your health.

Yeah for sure, especialy with the lumbar pillow. Been using one for the last few years, comfortable to nap in sometimes since the back reclines nearly 180.

I give that chair a year before it crumbles down to dust.

Had 3 chairs for my family (Titan v1, Titan v2, Omega) and all have the same problem. The pu-leather quality ist just trash for that price tag.

Oh and leather insurance ist only available for korean customers! Europe/US? Tough luck! No support or warranty since this is 'normal wear'!!!

Plus any replacement parts you need you have to pay. The back seat broke (Bad quality weld) and my wife had to pay 160$ for the replacement + shipping dispite having warranty! Thanks no.
