So i just need to put the updated files like this:

/a9lh
/a9lh/firm0.bin
/a9lh/firm1.bin
/a9lh/otp.bin
/a9lh/payload_stage1.bin
/a9lh/payload_stage2.bin
/a9lh/secret_sector.bin

and in luma/payloads a right_a9lhinstall.bin from the new safea9loaderhax installer, install the hax and A9LH gonna be updated?
You don't need otp.bin to update your existing A9LH installation - I updated my console without it yesterday.

I'm looking at Part 5 of Plailect's guide (to setup my New 3DS to update A9LH) and I notice some things have changed.

First off I don't see Decyrpt9 as the Start file (start_dec9.bin), it is now Hourglass9 (start_hg9.bin). Is Decyrpt9 no longer used/needed? I often boot to it for doing things with the NAND (exporting ticket.db for example).

Second, here are the current (relevant) files on my SD card. What files are no longer needed (i.e. what can I remove) prior to updating A9LH:
/3ds/SafeA9LHInstaller/SafeA9LHInstaller.3dsx
/3ds/SafeA9LHInstaller/SafeA9LHInstaller.smdh

/a9lh/firm0.bin (v2)
/a9lh/firm1.bin (v2)
/a9lh/payload_stage1.bin
/a9lh/payload_stage2.bin
/a9lh/secret_sector.bin (v2)

/luma/config.bin
/luma/firmware.bin
/luma/firmware_agb.bin
/luma/firmware_twl.bin
/luma/patched_firmware_agb.bin
/luma/patched_firmware_emu.bin
/luma/patched_firmware_sys.bin
/luma/patched_firmware_twl.bin
/luma/payloads/start_Dec9.old
/luma/payloads/start_Hg9.bin
/luma/payloads/x_Uncart.bin
/luma/payloads/y_EmuN9.bin

/aeskeydb.bin
/arm9.bin
/arm9loaderhax.bin
/arm11.bin
/boot.3dsx
/hblauncherloader_otherapp_payload_NEW-11-0-0-33-USA.bin
/slot0x11key96.bin
/slot0x25KeyX.bin

Third, do I just run the SafeA9LHInstaller from HBL to do the update?

Thanks in advance!

You can use both hourglass9 or decrypt9wip if you want, as they share some of the same functions. Hourglass9 just has all the options that could possibly brick your console removed.

Your "a9lh" folder looks correct (just make sure you have the v2 files from plailect's guide, SafeA9LHInstaller v2.0.1, and the latest arm9loaderhax).

Place the arm9loaderhax.bin from the safea9LHInstaller zip in luma/payloads, then you can boot it from luma's chainloader and update to the latest version of arm9loaderhax.

These files aren't required anymore if you are on the latest version of Luma3DS:

/luma/firmware_agb.bin
/luma/firmware_twl.bin
/luma/patched_firmware_agb.bin
/luma/patched_firmware_emu.bin
/luma/patched_firmware_sys.bin
/luma/patched_firmware_twl.bin
You also don't need these two as you have the aeskeydb.bin
/slot0x11key96.bin
/slot0x25KeyX.bin

Thank you @ongo_gablogian.

I placed the file (/luma/payloads/arm9loaderhax.bin), but what you do you mean I can boot it from Luma's chainloader?

You can boot it just like decrypt9wip or any other arm9 payload. You just have to rename it to "down_safea9lh.bin" or whatever you'd prefer.

OOOOOOO, got it! All done!

A few final questions:

Is there a way to tell what version of A9LH is installed (to keep track of future updates)?

I can now dump these files correct?
/a9lh/ (folder and files)

/arm9.bin
/arm11.bin

Sorry, not to sure how to check which version you are currently on. It doesn't seem like there are too many updates to arm9loaderhax, so you probably won't need to worry too much.

Yep, you can get rid of all those files now.

hey @Aurora Wright I know its pretty cool and all but could you release an exploit so I can install a9lh or downgrade at 11.0? Please?
That would require kernel exploit, which afaik she doesn't really work on. And a kernel exploit isn't a matter of when, but if. Just because we found exploits in the past doesn't mean there are more to be found.

I think this is just a troll account. I wouldn't bother replying to them
