Alright take a screen shot then go to Miscellaneou options then start inputperedirection. It should say (ok). After that exit Rosalina menu and close 3ds. Then when you reopen it should be frozen.

No. It didn't freeze.

When I turn on Input Redirection my n3ds freezes when I close the console as well. It always has when using either Rosalina Input Redirection or NTR Input Redirection. I also noticed that there is a delay of exiting sleep mode with Rosallna when I open my 3ds back up.

I'm not going to lie, I could have gone without Rosalina for a few weeks, or even months if it meant updating wouldn't give me these problems.

This problem and others like it are exact reasons why Rosalina needs to be optional... Please wait while I suggest that.
This is a very good point.

I preferred the original HBL to the Rosalina one because I COULD ACTUALLY RETURN TO THE HB MENU WITHOUT RESTARTING THE APP.

This really bothers me. Exiting an app either has to be through home menu, or a button press which just stops it. If I wanted this feature I would use the CIAs

Well, this would be an issue with new_hbmenu itself, not Rosalina.

Actually, Rosalina's backend is the reason that the old HBL doesn't work and why my above statement doesn't work.

If you read the README.md, it says that the return to home menu feature only works with Rosalina.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Funnily enough, complaining here doesn't do shit. Go to the respective GitHub pages and submit an issue to the people that can change it.
Funnily enough we know that. We just don't do it because our nature tells us to complain here first.

Seems a problem of GPU.

Smea for the previous versions of the HBL wasn't using the GPU for such stability problems.

Using GPU in my code (i use Sf2dlib or citro3d) I experienced this problem a lot of time: Sometime solved simply rearranging the instructions order in the code, but for my SDL lib I spent weeks debugging the code, then I solved putting the frame drawing code in a thread with higher priority than the audio thread.
In a couple of cases, when nothing else worked, updating ctrulib/citro3d libs saved me.

So apparently my suggestion was rejected and deemed "invalid." It wasn't taken into consideration whatsoever and I was linked an issue that had nothing to do with my suggestion. If this is the service we're going to get, I may just go back to stock.

    ewww key shops...
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Why do you really want to use key shops nowadays? You're not really paying towards the companies who provided the keys, plus its very sketchy.
  • linuxares @ linuxares:
https://gg.deals/game/bloodstained-ritual-of-the-night/ - I rather use the proper shops, but here are Key shops shown as well. They tell you the risks as well with each shop

  • linuxares @ linuxares:
One of the keyshops is 95% off at the moment (probably humble bundle keys)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
And a small percentage of keys bought with a stolen credit card.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
You never know if the key works or not, they don't provide a guarantee.
  • linuxares @ linuxares:
Sure is... and poor devs get hit with the charge backs

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    Exactly.
  • linuxares @ linuxares:
Thor from "Pirate Software" said its just better to pirate the game than buy from a keyshop if you care about the devs

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
devs don't get hit with the chargebacks, the keys are free to generate
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    at least on steam
  • linuxares @ linuxares:
Except he said the DEVS get hits with the chargeback cost
  • linuxares @ linuxares:
since the key gets bought with a stolen credit card
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
there's nothing to charge back because the keys don't cost them money to generate in the first place
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
If the game has a crack sure
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Most these crack sites have dead links anymore or the crack don't even work
  • linuxares @ linuxares:
@The Real Jdbye What don't you get? If someone use a stolen creditcard. Then sell said key on G2A. If I the dev sold the game key, I will get the charge back cost. That's how it works, it doesn't matter if I generate 300 keys if 300 of them are bought with stolen credit cards. I never said it was on Steam, but its the dev that gets hit. There is a ton of stories out there if you google it.
