Level 1-3 in the rom hack. Still needs a bit work :P

Also @Exelix can you take a look at level 1-5. Everytime I add a cameraArea and set the data to a sideview the camera ingame just follows mario as if it was a sm64 level lol :P

This is only happening in 1-5. Also I tried deleting all the camera data from 1-5 but 4D gave me an error and crashed

Did you enable the crash dump thing i posted a while ago ? if you have the crash dump i can see what made it crash, probably it crashed because there was a tag you didn't close in the xml.
Anyway i'll check today and let you know

I tested, for me it worked, first i deleted every camera in the level, then i opened camera params and deleted every camera data, then i added a camera and did generate params, and in game it works.
Also delete entranceCameraObj.

@Exelix can you paste in your cameraparam settings for level 1-5.

I add a cameraarea but it still doesn't follow it correctly. I didn't delete all cameradata form cameraparam as it crashes :/

This is the code i used in my test:
EDIT: Gbatemp formats the code and it doesn't work, check the attached file

the only camera in the stage has the CameraId value set to 62.

Also, if you are using the original level as a base delete the entranceCameraObj

I tried making a custom camera view in a level. But then it crashes when switching between worlds. Does it have something to do with it or is it me packing the romfs wrong?

In your tutorial, I tried to edit the camera similarly like you did to make a sm64-like camera angle...
EDIT:
I think it has to do with a different file I used

Good news folks!

The hack has been extended to include one extra world :D

I have a new member helping me known as mk7tester ! Credits to him

It is 80 % done I would say

New level in the works. Also i managed to animate the first custom model.

Now you can import smg models and put arg to them to make them move or rotate by themselves.
