Does overlays work without crashing the whole app to LiveArea yet? Couldn't load any rom with a scanline overlay at 1.33 scale without RetroArch crashing in 1.6.3 ):

Can you not add MAME 2000 roms to a collection? I scanned my NES roms and they appear in a NES collection. Then I scanned my MAME roms (it took days because I had to keep waking the vita up as stops scanning in sleep mode), then when it finished I didn't have a MAME/arcade collection like the NES one, so days of scanning for nothing :(
It looks like I have to manually go into the dir and load the MAME roms and if I try to change the game it just loads the first one I loaded again. Have to restart Retroarch to change games. Is this normal?

Managed to get it to recognise my MAME 2000 roms by building split sets and torrentzipping them. Now I can't get samples working.

I tried putting them in SYSTEM\MAME2000\Samples, SYSTEM\MAME4ALL\Samples, SYSTEM\MAME\Samples and various others, but I don't samples in Galaga.

Where are they supposed to go? Can't find info anywhere.

Is there a standard place that roms, etc should go? I just chucked all mine in a custom folder. Retroarch doesn't seem to mention a "roms" folder in the directory settings.

Edit: Figured out where the MAME 2000 samples go. Need to be in a samples folder in the same dir as the rom

Is there possibly any chances of the Citra/3DS core being added to PS Vita's Retroarch? I'm very new to Vita's hacking scene overall, so i mostly don't know much.

Does Retroarch on the Vita support zipped roms? Or do i need to extract them all?
(From my experiencie about 5 months ago.)

Yes it is supported, but they load slower than the unzziped ones. And sometimes there are unnormal flashes in the loading screen.
Please try and tell us.

now when i test load other core i have a black screen with the vita have a problem it will power off i have enso
Maybe because gpsp core is unstable and now is setted as last core used and cause problems, try to go in data folder, retroarch CFG and change here the last used core with another one.

P.S: How much long we must wait to see N64 core on psvita? :/

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
