ROM Hack Resident Evil 4 save hack for costume swap question

Ok so I think this is possible, as I hacked the PC version this way once.The DS version of Resident Evil also was easy to costume swap by altering the save file.

It is possible to do a costume swap by hacking your save? Basically putting the costume code into the data so when the save is loaded, Leon or Ada have a specific costume on?

I have always wanted to be able to play as Leon in his jacket for the entire game, and as Ada in her "Assignment Ada" costume for Separate ways.

Am I imagining this is how to do such a thing? Or it this something that is doable?

I'm sure its possible. Extracting the save data looks the same as all versions. Wouldn't be an issue to edit it

If someone is able to perform this hack for me, I will buy them RE4 for Switch, or either of the other REs. Then They can log into my profile, edit the save and send it back to the cloud.

Which leads to one more question. can a hacked save be safely transferred via cloud to another Switch?

A save can be transferred safely to another Switch just using the EdiZon homebrew app. As long as its nothing else

Would both Switch's need to be homebrew enabled? Or can you transfer said save to a straight off the shelf Switch? Essentially the only reason i would request someone else do the edit would be so that I can leave my switch unhacked.

Essentially i just want a save to start the game with Leon's jacket though the whole story mode, and ada's Assignment Ada "spy costume" for Leon's story mode and Separate Ways.

That would make me the happiest dude ever. Not sure why they didn't just put a revelations style costume selector in RE4 that lets you choose what character gets what costume for the various modes.
