Hacking [Release] rxTools - Roxas75 3DS Toolkit [fw 2.0 - 9.2]

On mine Region free does not wok or does not appear on 4.4u emunand (installed 2 time with different manages rebooted and launch other games and return to menu), but works when I update the emunand to 9.8

does it supposed to behave this way? only updated emunand are region free?

Load .3ds (or .3dz) files directly from SD card.
scene release are in .3ds format, converting to cia is not easy and require a lot of RAM... (I'm on WinXP with 2GB RAM, I'm sure a lot of users are still on XP too)
having .3ds loaded directly from SD card is possible and was said/debated when gateway released their flashcard. redirecting access to big SD will free users from using drm's gateway. But I don't know if it's easy to add online support like gateway is doing using unique header string.

Are you saying that running a .3ds file from the SD card is currently possible using RXtools? I've been just skimming through all these threads for quite a while, and I don't recall ever coming across that info. I'll have to go back and read more carefully.

Does the MSET exploit installer work for 9.2? I downgraded my System Settings app, installed it with my dstwo (rxinstaller.nds) But everytime I go into DS profile it just says an error has occurred and the 3DS reboots.

It still doesn't work on 9.2, I belive it works for stuff around 7.x FW

Use 3DS Simple CIA Converter. It only needs 5 MB of RAM and a couple of minutes of your time to convert from 3DS to CIA.

Works for me on 4.2 though (holding X to boot to sysnand). And works in emunand in normal rxmode

FYI, if you have any out of region titles that you installed before updating to the new version of rxTools that has region free and still don't see them show up, you can install something with DevMenu and it will refresh Home Menu (downloading something from eShop would probably work too). The out of region titles will pop up and allow you to unwrap them and launch them from Home Menu.

I don't see why not, but if you can install the newest FBI, it might be better to install mset rop through that instead. New feature.

yes, install to sysnand. (hold X or X+A while booting into rxtools)

Of course, you still need a cia installer in sysnand
