Never had that happen in the channel version, so I'm not sure how to fix it if you have that problem. Plus you're the first person to mention this problem. In other words, i press "Close Software" and i'm met with never ending "Wii U Menu" thing with looped sound.
Really? Guess i should look before i do stuff lol. That was the problem, forgot to press ESC to exit..Never had that happen in the channel version, so I'm not sure how to fix it if you have that problem. Plus you're the first person to mention this problem.
BTW, are you not using ESC to exit after you've connected, like the instructions say? If you exit with the HOME button while actually connected, it may or may not work, because the connection may not properly get closed down. This is why it has the ESC key mapped to exit. This isn't a problem in the GX2 version that is coming out soon(TM) though.
Unbelievable that you even spend your time on this after something like BOTW has been released.I've finally added pretty much everything I wanted to add to the GX2 version. It now has an OSK, not the best, but it works, also it now parses (only searches for http or https links, regex library is not in devkitpro and I could never compile it for it successfully) URLs and saves them. Once URLs are saved, you can scroll through them and "launch" them. If it's a direct link to an image, the image will download and show inside the client. If the link is to a webpage, the internet browser will open to that link. I haven't had time to fix the reconnect functions, so if you hang out in the browser for a very long time, you could possibly lose connection to the IRC server, and not be able to reconnect to it. I'm not sure why, the app should still be running its threads in the background. The only thing I have to finish, is assigning gamepad buttons to control the URL launching, it's currently only done for USB keyboard controls. Once I get the gamepad controls all completed, this should be ready for a release.
I don't even care about BOTW. I played it to see what all the hype was about and there wasn't anything exciting about it at all, so I went back to finishing this.Unbelievable that you even spend your time on this after something like BOTW has been released.
Great work!
Wow. Just....wow.The client has been updated:
v2.00 - GX2 version, now has an OSK as well, supports joining multiple channel and PM windows
oh snap!As long as your Wii U internet connection still works, you will NOT lose connection while the app is in the background. I open the Internet Browser and left the client in the background for 10 minutes, and received every message while it was in the background, and never lost connection to the IRC server. Before it would timeout after about 4 minutes.
Well, there is no official thread for that app, and I didn't want to leave it blank.Me thinks someone was using their LameIRCU meta.xml file as a template for other homebrew projects.. *cough* 'U-Spank-It' *cough*
