ROM Hack [Release] AGB_FIRM Signature Patcher + GBA ROM Converter

Sorry if this has already been answered ( I don't really want to read through 33 pages) , can I use this with the rxTools (with sig patched out) that supports smash 4? I know there's a version that supports gba, but I play smash often enough that I don't want to have to swap the launcher every time.

If you want to play smash bros, you can't run gba games, vice versa.

because agb_firm has its own checks in place for verifying the games are unmodified

Here is the answer to the question : why NANDs need to be linked when launching this from a compatible emuNAND?
AGB_FIRM isn't patched for the NAND redirection, so for it the true NAND is the sysNAND.

Here is the answer to the question : why doesn't it work in Gateway Mode?
Gateway DOESN'T patch signature checks, only some of these. So system titles (like AGB_FIRM) will have signature checks from NATIVE_FIRM. I suppose Gateway doesn't patch signature checks for system titles because else we could discover what patches it does exactly in ARM11 mode.

I just found out that you can sleep patch roms (won't work with all roms), and if you put it into sleep mode (by a button combo NOT by just closing the lid) not only does it actually go into sleep mode when you open the lid it will automatically go out of sleep mode. I hope more roms from that ISO site will be sleep patched in the future as it's a really neat feature!

Ok I have a problem i'm on a New 3DS and the CIA install fails so I need to delete 0x0004013800000202 but this title is not found the closest thing is 0x0004013820000202 with the a Unique ID of 0x20000202 so what should I do?

0x0004013820000202 is the AGB_FIRM for 3DS. That is the one you should uninstall. BUT YOU SHOULD NOT INSTALL 0x0004013800000202! That one is for o3DS only! Besure you are installing 0x0004013820000202 version of AGB_FIRM! Otherwise GBA VC will not work at all for you.

So im retarded I was looking for the wrong title to delete I was supposed to look for 0004013820000202 the same title as the one i'm trying to install not the O3DS title in the first post. I was being following the instructions word for word too much.

If your using FBI, make sure destination is set to NAND as it defaults to SD on startup and install of NAND titles will fail if you don't switch to NAND mode.

So I wrote back my Nand and i'm ready for round 2 @Apache Thunder care writing up the steps for a New 3DS that even a retard like me can understand I followed the steps word for word with replacing the o3DS titles with the New 3DS one but i'm not having any luck for some reason.

AGB_FIRM is near the bottom and is in the group with the product codes ending in CTAP I think (CTR-P-CTAP to be exact. There are several with that name though, so be careful which one you uninstall). If you have any DSi games installed they will be listed below that.

thats what I did but got a brick hmmm ill try again do you think nintendo did something to that title since 3DNUS gets them from Nintendo's server?

If you got a brick you may have uninstalled NATIVE_FIRM by accident. Uninstalling TWL/AGB should not result in a brick even if you rebooted the console with those still uninstalled.

Same deal I uninstalled 0x00040103820000202 CTR-P-CTAP with a unique ID of 0x20000202 but this time it froze when I pressed start so I can install the cia next but it froze.

Update: oddly enough my 3ds did not brick this time though it did fail to boot 5 times in a row, this time the install was a success maybe it's just a bug in FBI.

You'll need to restore a NAND backup from before you started uininstalling things. You probably uninstalled some things you shouldn't have so now it is no longer stable.

I have a clean Nand backup 2 of them ill just install it again this is weird.

You know you can just install it over the top of the currently installed version with the older devmenu 2.x right? Saves messing with uninstalling stuff if you have a way to install/run the old devmenu.

I can reboot my 3ds after flashing my Nand back as many times as I want but once I do this it randomly bricks after a few reboots @Shadowtrance ill try that instead.
