I meant the wii u itself. What if it updates something somewhere and then when you reboot the system it expects a new updated firmware and find an outdated one?
Oh, I thought you meant if the rednand is updated. I don't know about that one, but i'm using the DNS's to block updates, and they will probably come out with a patch to prevent updates.

disable your real's WiiU network setting, it won't update !
Keep it enabled on RedNAND, only that one will update.
you won't need any server filters or DNS anymore.

Mh weren't emuNAND and SysNAND linked on the 3ds (that is if you didn't unlink them manually) so that the wifi settings always reappeared?

ah, that's right you will need network to launch HBL.
sorry :P

well, we will find a solution, don't worry too much.

I didn't follow 3DS recently, but what I remember is that network setting edited in emuNAND affected realNAND settings.
You had to setup your emuNAND setting, then edit the real one, not the contrary.
I never linked to NNID so I don't know which differences linked or unlinked had.

I mean, there is the solution of self hosting, but that's a pain to setup, and I don't know how reliable the DNS's are.

Relying on someone else's DNS is never reliable.
I'd always prefer self filtering (router or proxy) over relying on someone else's job.
Yea, that's what I would do, but I honestly cant because my router is locked cause of my crappy ISP, I can literally only port forward and change the wifi password. lol

I dont think this exploit from wiiubru will be permanent, so we have to launch HBL from internet, to launch the emunand.. Like browserhax work in 3ds before emunand... Unless a savegame exploit or a permanent exploit found (hope smea release yours), we will have to keep enabled the network settings.

I mean the system updating something on the seeprom during a rednand update, then the next time you boot, rip. There are some unknown fields there.
