Hacking Radiant dawn freezes when using cheats no matter what loader i'm using

i tried playing this game on dolphin 4.0 using those codes that were made for dolphin http://serenesforest.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=47361
but in 5.0 dolphin probably changed something about cheats. so the wiird and serenesforest (some people are reporting this problem on the topic too). so i tried using cheats on my wii. but the codes still don't work(SF and WIIRD). i used all the hooks and tried every code one by one but when i start a chapter the game freezes with a black screen

IIRC the memory locations shift depending on whether your Wii is set to 4:3 display or 16:9 display when it comes to that game.

in the wii settings it's set to 16:9. if i change it to 4:3 should i use the WiiRD codes or SF ones?
edit: tried both resolution settings. it's still the same

How old are the codes? They may only work on older versions of Dolphin. :/

april 2014. i'm trying to make them work on the wii though

I wish I could be more helpful, but I've honestly never been able to get codes to work on my Wii myself either.
