Hacking R4i Gold 3DS RTS Problems

I recently purchased an R4i Gold 3ds RTS so that I could install ntrboot through it on V11.5, but I'm having problems setting it up. I downloading the kernel from their website, but when I insert the card into my 3ds and press the icon, I get a flash of white and then a blank screen. I'm not sure if I'm using the wrong kernel or if the R4i Gold 3ds RTS is not compatible with 11.5. Help!

When I had that happen I had to flash a different firmware to it using the boothax flasher. You may need to have a friend with a modded device set it up for you in this instance.
