So I have the R4 card with the 1.4.1 burst on front. I ran fwup142c.nds using old ds lite - went fine...
now kids went on nintendo site - site upgraded dsi's to 1.4.3u -
Any work around yet?
What about 3ds firmware - fwupv20a.nds using r4 card with 1.4.1 burst on it?

so far no update yet

they took a while with teh last one so you never know when there coming

the 3DS firmware does indeed work on the R4i 1.4.1 but was released before the 1.4.3 update

if you want fast updates i suggest getting supercard DSTwo's
took them under half a day to release there update

What about WOOD on this card? Will be beat 1.4.3U on the DSI XL?

Kernel is different from Firmware. Basically, the Kernel is what allows you to run your flashcard on some DSi version and the Firmware is the piece of software that you see when you start your flashcard.

So even if you change the Firmware, it still will not support the new version of DSi XL.

Actually firmware is what bypasses the updates.
Since the updates are called "Firmware updates" not "Kernel updates".
WOOD is a kernel.
And no, WOOD won't change anything.
