Hello.

I have some questions.

I had used otpless when I operate a9lh installetion.

Now, I don't have otp.bin.

Is it necessary for me? and how to get otp.bin from 3ds that is installed a9lh?

Nope. The OTP is only used to install A9LH. If you already have A9LH installed, you don't need your OTP. Not to mention the installer dumps the OTP right on the spot. So even if you did need it, it's dumps during the install process.

don't give out wrong information. it is always good to have a backup of your otp.

when we get an Implementation of sighax we can dump it anyways.

I am not wrong. There is literally no reason to continue clinging onto the OTP. Your OTP is only needed to get the keys to install A9LH. Once A9LH is installed, you might as well delete it.
It was only recommended to be backed up during the early A9LH days because it was needed to generate your personal arm9loaderhax installer. Nowadays the OTP is dumped on the spot by SafeA9LHInstaller and installed using that dumped OTP.
Chances are, with how early Sighax will boot, it will most likely not need the OTP. It will most likely need the bootrom to be dumped.

the only thing needed with the otp is a hash of a part of it to install k9lh lol, which is used for secret keysector encryption
you can always dump that hash with k9lh installed anyway
sighax does not need a boot9 dump or an otp dump on its own to work lmao

Thank you reply.

Umm, anyway I don't need it,do it?
Not really, like I said, it was only really recommended back in the day because you needed it to compile your own installer. Since it's dumped on the spot, it's really not needed anymore.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
