if their console is banned from other game, they will get banned by any game.
they might bought a second hand console and start to playing realize the cheap second hand console is banned(that is why it is cheap). and then post this picture straight away without being acknowledged.
i am not saying it is impossible to get a CIA ban, but it is indeed really really rare.

i am chinese, and i have few QQ group that has 1000 ppl each, never heard of any one got banned due to CIA usage.

also, what is a patched CIA? modified CIA will get caught.

Yes, but you can never guarantee if a game bought used from ebay has never had its header dumped for using online with GW/Sky.
Heck that could even apply to games sold as new/brand new, because it could actually be used but sold as new.
And that violates eBay seller agreement and is subject to automatic refund and account closure if it happens enough times.

I don't understand if the ban is caused by playing an out of region game online or because of dasding's english patch.

I guess a translated game doesn't ban you, it's just texts...not sure.

Because if so, many MH X english patchef players should be banned.

Actually if you have a us/eur 3ds and you are playing this game , you are out of region.
