Hacking Question about updating o3ds from a9lh to sighax

I wanted to go from a9lh to sighax and I found this :

but the download only has 3dssafe and n3ds

I don't use 3DSSafe but I would like to know is the n3ds one usable for o3ds??

Note that, on New 3DS, secret_sector.bin is needed to revert the arm9loaderhax exploit, which is why it is not needed for the installation of boot9strap on a stock console. If you do not have a New 3DS, you do not need secret_sector.bin.

Basically that note is only for the new3DS since the old3DS doesn't need that file. So with the old3DS, you don't need that file and you just need to follow the guide as if that file isn't included.
It is rather confusingly worded though.
