Question about payload tweaks

So i repair switches as a bit of a hobby and I occasionally end up with a board or two that cant output to the LCD screen but work just fine on a dock. So as an experiment I decided to properly consolize it and see what kind of performance and temps I can get when I overclock the hell out of it. However the one thing holding back design wise is the systems battery check. In order to reach full boot the system needs a battery attached or in order complete. I was curious if there was a way to patch out the battery check from the boot process or maybe a way any of your are familiar with that can spoof or fool the system into thinking the battery is present when it isn't. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sadly battery is a requirement for boot.

I don't think so, that is just how the switch is designed. Someone asked the same question few years ago.

Surprised GBATemp users hadn't seen this- you can absolutely boot without a battery. Looks like you ground the gray sensor wire and supply 3.5-4.2V with a small converter (be sure to read the lower post from the OP)
