Hello everyone!

I own a PSP Go and would love to play games on it again, as obviously the PlayStation Network doesn't work anymore to download stuff. I already have a bunch of ISO's to play and have been playing them on my OnePlus 3T via PPSSPP, but I'd love to be able to play most of the games on my little handheld more smoothly.

As I've never hacked a PSP before and genuinely don't know where to start, could someone please show me step by step how to make this possible? I'd really appreciate it.

Btw, I checked the PSP Hacking/Modding FAQ and it confused me more than anything.

Thank you!

Thank you for the welcome! Currently have my PSP Go on charge and will start the process when it's 100%.

If I have any questions, or stuck, would you mind helping?

Thanks for the help! Managed to make everything work now :) super happy with the result.

The only game that my Go won't recognise is 7th Dragon 2020 English patched, but that's pretty much it.

Hi,

Im new to this too and I've also brought my psp go with 6.61. Do I try downgrade or carry on with a CFW. The information available doesn't say i can download a cfw on 6.61 just 6.60. If anyone can help me figure this out would be much appreciated. Also any links for the must up to date links would be very helpful to me.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply but this doesn't make sense. It doesn't tell me if it works on my current firmware. Unless this works on all up to the latest firmware 6.61 and the 6.31 threw me off.
As far as I know, the PSP is so throughly hacked that you can just install a CFW over your current firmware as long as it's the same version. Don't take my word for it though, I haven't used my PSP in ages :P

A PSP Go on 3.63 can still be upgraded and used to run homebrew correct?
do you have a psp go on 3.63?, I didn't know that model came with a firmware lower than 5.xx, either way, yes you can upgrade and install a cfw which will allow you to run homebrew, just follow the next link and follow the instructions carefully (make sure you download the 6.60 firmware for psp go).

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

Either that or their old games were unfinished aswell but we can't notice it

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol

I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare
