Hacking PS4 on FW 3.55 update help? & JB

Recently picked up a ps4 classic still on fw 3.55
i am familiar with ps3 jailbreak But havent deep dived into the ps4 scene yet.

Guessing i will want to load OFW 5.05 onto usb flash drive and manually update
currently i still need to system restore the 3.55 as it contains previous user profiles...

Anyone know where i can find the update, sony's official website hosts them yes?
Expert tips & recommendations or advice is much appreciated mostly interested in unlocking its potential

just at a different step and its a lot of info to consume.

so far ive got:
-reset system, make new profile
-update to OFW 5.05 via usb
-follow AIO guide (dns settings, update prevention, hosts settings and kernal exploits)
-after exploiting kernal research CFW and other homebrew implementations

First you need to understand it is not a full jailbreak, it is just an exploit that allows you to gain access to the debug menu and allowing you to install games in FKPG format.

To update you can get firmware update files from darthsternie. Use a FAT32 format flash drive, create an PS4 folder, inisde that create an UPDATE folder, then put the PS4UPDATE.PUP inside.

tbh im curious about the brazilian method, Crono + dreambox and usb
so when you say its not a "full jailbreak" im unsure what youre insinuating?

i suppose there is not CFW options like switch with atmosphere & SX OS
but i could be wrong.

anyone know is 5.05 can play 6.72 games too?
or is it best to be on 6.72 to have widest selection

It is an exploit not a full jailbreak as the exploit only grant you access to the debug menu not the full system like a custom firmware, the exploit isn't permanent it goes away when you shut off the PS4, that you have to reload the exploit again. You can backport 6.72 games on 5.05 but not all of them will work, 5.05 is the more stable one as it been worked on a lot more than 6.72 exploit.
