From what im reading my 3001B and 2501A are both not compatible?
HOW TF I HAVE THE SAME NUMBER AND IT DOESNT WORK CAN YOU HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!I am 2501A and I am homebrewing AF with this. Just expect to be very patient. 3001B is not going to work, however.
The reason for the ambiguity on 25xx models is because some have a min firmware higher than 3.56, others are 3.56 and under. Have to check with minver.pup.

I'll try another USB btw did those computer steps right tho I get a 95 success rateFormat you usb then try this.
Make an htdocs folder, within NOR_NAND_writer_release folder. And copy and paste either nor-4.82 or nand-482 html files to it, depending on your PS3 model.
Copy flsh.hex to root of usb. Plug usb to right USB port closest to your disc drive, which is probably the right USB port.
Load miniweb.exe on computer.
Go to ps3 web browser, type the host you find in miniweb.exe in the ps3 web browser address bar, and either nor.html or nand.html depending on ps3 console you have. Make sure you copy the full Host. Mine had an :8000 at the end of it.
And click on the button on the web page, wait and you ps3 will shut down. Start up ps3 and install cfw.
I've been doing exactly that and still getting that Data Corrupt error.Format you usb then try this.

You know you don't have to hide your ps3's ip. It should be connecting with its internal address, which isn't the ip anyone would use to hack you. They would need your external ip address to hack[556] connection accepted
