Hacking PS3 Fat CECHM03 CFW

hi,

as I understand you can only apply CFW when at OFW 3.55. I currently am on 4.75 OFW with my PS3 Fat CECHM03. As I understand it I need an E Flasher to downgrade, is this correct? Issue for me is in UK they dont sell them anymore, and the cost of getting them outside UK is expensive.

I did however stumble on below link which states you dont need to downgrade with this. Is this true? If so does anyone know if it will work on my model of PS3?

Link is a scam, the download is most likely some sort of virus.

There is still no way to install CFW on any firmware above 3.55.

What you can do, though, is head over to PS3Hax's forums, and in their Services section you can find people in the UK that will downgrade your firmware for you (which will almost always be cheaper than buying a downgrader yourself )
