Misc Problem with blocking nus.cdn.c.shop.nintendowifi.net

Hello everyone
I have an issue with blocking "nus.cdn.c.shop.nintendowifi.net" thorugh my router so far i blocked those without any issues

nus.c.shop.nintendowifi.net
nus.cdn.shop.wii.com
nus.cdn.wup.shop.nintendo.net
nus.wup.shop.nintendo.net
c.shop.nintendowifi.net
cbvc.cdn.nintendo.net
cbvc.nintendo.net

how ever i have problem with blocking nus.cdn.c.shop.nintendowifi.net because the router says the URL is too long to block...if i am not going to block only this one can my wii u update by itself to the latest firmware?is there any other way to block this url through the router?

oh sorry i didn't see your message i don't know my router is TP-LINK WDR 4300

If your router supports Wildcards, it means it can block the sub domains without specifing it. as exmaple:
Instead of bloking this:

nus.c.shop.nintendowifi.net
nus.cdn.shop.wii.com
nus.cdn.wup.shop.nintendo.net
nus.wup.shop.nintendo.net
c.shop.nintendowifi.net
cbvc.cdn.nintendo.net
cbvc.nintendo.net

You can just block this:
shop.nintendowifi.net
shop.wii.com
cdn.nintendo.net
cbvc.nintendo.net


Not quite sure if it does work by just blocking nintendo.net.

Hi ScarletDreamz, my modem supports a WildCards ... you think blocking those words you put this right? since I have the same problem for so long .. nus.cdn.c.shop.nintendowifi.net domain has too many characters and my modem will not let me block
